Our product, ”Initial Wedding Rings” received Red Dot Award 2022 !

 


Unique wedding rings with patterns reminiscent of fine wood grains are created. In addition, the integrated handwritten initials of the bride and groom make each forged ring pair unique.

Our product, “ring sharing ceremony” gradation ring received “The Singapore Good Design 2022” !

Two different color rings are created by sharing one gradated golden ring with two people.

The Singapore Good Design (SG Mark):
Design Business Chamber Singapore (DBCS) launched Singapore Good Design (SG Mark) in 2013 in partnership with the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) that founded the prestigious Good Design Award (G Mark).
SG Mark was established to set the benchmark for exceptional design quality that impacts businesses and communities in Singapore and beyond.
Good design has become a source of growth and productivity in the economy as organizations recognize the value of investing in excellent design principles, processes and offerings.
SG Mark’s overarching goal is to impact businesses, improve quality of life of different communities (individuals, corporations and countries) and influence culture. SG Mark acknowledges and affirms companies and individuals who have generated significant value by focusing on human needs and experiences and providing solutions in their products and services in order to enhance industrial development and enrich lives responsibly.
The Mark will also educate consumers and end-users of the value of good design and encourage a higher standard of quality in production.

This exhibition is hosted by Tokyo metropolitan Government, and Mokumeganeya taking part by the collaboration product with contemporary artist Noritaka Tatehana who is the director for this exhibition.
His art has received acclaim from across the globe, and his iconic heel-less shoes, most famously worn by Lady Gaga, are on permanent collection at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, and London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.
Mokumeganeya made parts of this shoes by using Mokume Gane technique for this exhibition !

Established in 1981, Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Award is the most influential design award in the global Huaren market.


This year’s Golden Pin Design Award saw a total of 2,706 outstanding entries from 17 different countries and regions around the globe. After the Secondary Selection held online on September 7th , 627 entries from Taiwan, China, HK, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Poland, USA, Vietnam and Indonesia were chosen from among the entries that made the Secondary Selection shortlist to receive the Golden Pin Design Mark. ​
The upcoming Final Selection will take place on September 13th, where the highest honor—the Best Design winners—will be chosen from among the Design Mark recipients. And the finalists will be announced at the end of September.

Masaki Takahashi, representative director of Mokumeganeya Co., Ltd. received the Achievement Award for his reproduction work of the historical material related to Mokume Gane,
at 2020 Contemporary Swords and Artworks held by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (NBTHK).
NBTHK was founded in February 1948 as an authorized foundation by the government in order to save Japanese sword.
His work will be on display till 18th October 2020 at The Japanese Sword Museum in Tokyo.

The statement of the jury for our product is as below.
An outwardly stunning, unusual and unique approach to wedding rings.
The use of ancient Japanese metalworking techniques combined with modern innovation has seemingly produced the perfect wedding rings for a couple.
The wood-like grain pattern in the rings flows into each other, presenting a distinctive and recognizable pattern when held together as a pair.

Mokumeganeya have been collaborated with Credor, a luxury watch brand from Seiko,
and created a magnificent Mokume Gane dial for the limited edition watch which celebrates the 45th anniversary of Credor.
We have designed the dial to express the beautiful sight of golden rice field that are softly fluttered by the wind,
by using a technique of Mokume Gane.

Recommended retail price: 3 million Japanese Yen plus tax
