Mr. L. T. & Ms. J. A.
Ql. Did you have any anxiety about MOKUMEGANEYA's rings before you chose our rings?
Yes we did, our main concerns were how we would go about choosing the metals,
getting our ring sizes correct and wondering if other precious stones could be used.
We lived in Singapore where there was no physical store so initially,
we had to rely a lot on the website and social media to learn more.
Thankfully after submitting our interest, Mokumeganeya delivered on all fronts with thorough and sincere assistance.
It is amazing how they have been able to transition the traditional tactile ring choosing process to be able to work online as well.
Our first contact with Mokumeganeya was a staff member, Mutsumi. She was friendly, detailed and thoughtful in her email correspondence with us through the whole process of arranging consultation dates,
coordinating deliveries, resourceful suggestions and more.
Mutsumi was simply wonderful in our quest for our engagement and wedding bands.
The subsequent online consultation with Shay, a most patient,
informed and friendly consultant, also helped to set our anxieties aside.
He talked us through the process, showed us samples of rings and
gave great advice on the various combinations and their aesthetic cohesion.
That combined with a physical set of ring gauges and a brochure sent to us,
truly helped us make our informed choices in the rings that were crafted.
Any anxiety we had at first definitely went away; in fact, we enjoyed the whole experience!
The rings we received went beyond our expectations and
they were packaged with care and came with information to help us maintain the rings.
We are really very happy with the beautifully crafted rings and we are glad to have engaged Mokumeganeya.
We can't wait to wear our rings with pride upon our wedding day.
Q2. What was the main reason for ordering your rings from MOKUMEGANEYA?
With such a rich history behind the craft, and such care put into the quality of the rings,
we knew that this would be one of the best ways for us to have rings that we will treasure,
and also pay homage and appreciate Japanese culture.
We both have a keen interest in art and design, especially in the skills required to hone one's craft.
Louis came across metalworking and the art of mokumegane.
After he shared the beautiful designs with me,
we decided to seek out such rings for our special day. After much research online,
Mokumeganeya was no doubt the top and only choice for us, as exemplified through how they balance and
craft such strong tough metals into the delicate patterns and details of the ring designs.
Thank you for your courteous reply.
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your rings made by Japanese traditional technique.
May you have a very happy married life !
